Our three dimensional world could be a projection based off of a two dimensional space-time?  It is really hard for me to imagine that statement, but actually makes the whole cosmological idea in my head make sense.  Especially with a question posed by (a very intelligent and avid quantum philosopher) about how if space-time is like a sheet, and orbits are determined by the warping of that sheet, what happens when you look at it in three dimensions?  The sheet is only two dimensions.  If I imagine the Universe as an ever-expandable sheet of two dimensional (rubber?) then all of those professors telling us that gravity is two dimensional makes sense.  This also explains the expansion of the universe (in my head).  This Rubber Universe Balloon (RUB, why not?) is filled in the middle by Dark Energy.

Dark Energy has the property of pushing objects away from each other and at current(ish) count accounts for 70% of the energy in the Universe.  Now the RUB is a balloon being expanded by Dark Energy, where across the surface of the RUB, light speed is the ultimate speed limit - However, the RUB could expand faster than light because it is inflating, not traveling along the perimeter.  (Draw a short line on the outside of a balloon with a permanent marker, then blow up the balloon.  The line expands way faster than the speed of Sharpie.)

This also puts into the realm of possibility of tunneling through the RUB from one side to the other many times faster than flying along the outside.  Perhaps none of this is new, but in my head it's never been so eloquently put together in a single image.

I've been goodish lol. In college now, living with my uncles again, lost my job 3 years ago and still looking for a job... that just about sums it up lol. Do you still have IM?

Hey Tyler,
Dunno if I ever responded to your comment from like 2 years ago, but I signed on for old time's sake. Hope all is well. How is everything?

Well I'm doing well. Haven't been doing really any writing, so it goes. I was just curious to see if anyone was still around here so I signed on. I did feel a bit guilty for letting your post go so long without a reply. Better late than never I suppose. I've been pretty busy lately, but if I do get a spark to write again I'm not sure if this will be my avenue. I've kinda grown out of DA, though I do have very fond memories. How about you? Is all well?
